SimplyOwned LLC

Privacy Policy

We build focused software with a preference for collecting less data. This policy explains how our website and applications handle information.

Effective October 5, 2026

Our approach

SimplyOwned does not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for cross-app tracking or third-party behavioral advertising. Product-specific disclosures in an app or its App Store listing supplement this policy and control if they describe a feature more specifically.

Information from this website

You can browse this website without creating an account. We do not place advertising trackers on the site. Our hosting and network providers may process ordinary technical request information—such as an IP address, device or browser type, requested page, and request time—to deliver, secure, and maintain the website.

When you contact us

If you email SimplyOwned, we receive the address you use and any information you include in your message. We use it to respond, provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain appropriate business records. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information.

SimplyOwned applications

Each app may handle different information based on its features. We describe those practices in the app, its App Store privacy disclosures, or a dedicated product section of this policy before release. Where practical, our apps keep personal preferences and working data on the user’s device. When an app offers synchronization, it identifies the service, the information involved, and the user’s available choices before that feature is enabled.

Money, Yours

Money, Yours stores the accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, recurring bills, reconciliation history, rules, receipt images, and import history a user chooses to enter in the app’s private storage. The app does not require a SimplyOwned account, connect to a bank, collect online-banking credentials, or send financial records to SimplyOwned servers.

Receipt scanning and text recognition happen on the device. Users review the suggested merchant, date, and amount before saving. Bill reminders are scheduled as local device notifications. Optional Face ID or device-passcode protection is handled by Apple; Money, Yours does not receive or store biometric data.

Version 1.0 stores working financial records on the device and does not provide live cross-device synchronization. Users may create a portable backup or report export whenever they choose. A Mac edition and optional synchronization are post-launch roadmap work. If SimplyOwned later offers either feature, the app and this policy will describe the implemented data handling and user choices before that feature is made available.

App Store purchase and restoration information is processed by Apple; the app checks only whether the lifetime feature unlock is valid.

PetKeeper

PetKeeper stores pet profiles, care and medical records, reminders, appointments, provider assignments, expense entries, documents, and app settings in private storage on the user’s device. No SimplyOwned account is required. PetKeeper does not send this information to SimplyOwned-operated servers, advertising services, or behavioral analytics services.

Camera access is optional and requested only when the user chooses to scan a document. Document scanning and text recognition happen on the device. PetKeeper preserves the selected or scanned file with the pet’s records. Nearby Care is also optional: when the user initiates a nearby search, PetKeeper can use the device’s location with Apple Maps and MapKit to find relevant pet-care providers. SimplyOwned does not receive the user’s location or provider-search history. Reminder and appointment notifications are scheduled locally on the device.

Household sharing is optional and uses Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services. When the owner chooses to share a household, PetKeeper stores the shared household records and document attachments in the owner’s private/shared CloudKit database and makes them available to invited participants according to the app’s Owner, Co-Owner, and Caregiver permissions. This synchronization is provided through Apple’s services rather than a SimplyOwned-operated account or application server.

Users can create PDF or CSV reports and portable backups when they choose. Apple’s file picker and share interfaces, and any storage provider or recipient selected by the user, may process those files under their own terms. App Store purchase and restoration information is processed by Apple; PetKeeper checks whether the one-time Lifetime entitlement is valid. PetKeeper does not include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs, use advertising identifiers, or track users across apps and websites.

Next Rep

Next Rep stores workout history, routines, exercises, sets, repetitions, weight entries, timers, goals, body-weight entries, settings, backup data, and My Gym progress in private storage on the user’s iPhone. Compatible imports and backups may also contain workout notes. This information is not sent to SimplyOwned’s website, servers, advertising services, or analytics services. Next Rep’s dedicated local data store is excluded from device backups and is not stored in iCloud.

Apple Health integration is optional. If the user chooses to connect it, Next Rep can request read access to workout summaries, active energy, and walking, running, or cycling distance so supported activities can appear in private app history and avoid duplicates. It separately requests write access for completed Next Rep workouts and estimated active energy. Next Rep does not request routes, heart rate, steps, clinical records, or other health-data access for these features.

Information obtained through Apple Health is used only to provide the health features the user selects. It is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or data mining, and it is not shared with third parties. Next Rep continues to work if Apple Health access is declined. Users can change access at any time in the Health app. Health entries written by Next Rep can be managed or deleted in Apple Health. Deleting an imported workout in Next Rep does not delete its Apple Health source; while the app’s local data remains installed, Next Rep remembers the deletion and excludes that same Health workout from later imports.

Next Rep can create a private backup or a My Gym progress image only when the user chooses to export or save one. Backup files are not encrypted by Next Rep. Apple’s system interface controls the destination. A native restore adds valid, non-duplicate records while preserving existing records and configured My Gym choices. SimplyOwned does not receive those files or images unless the user separately chooses to send them to support.

MacroDay

MacroDay is a local-first nutrition and wellness tracker. It does not require an account, and SimplyOwned does not operate a cloud service that stores a user’s MacroDay diary. Foods, recipes, serving information, nutrition values, diary entries, goals, water, weight, exercise records, My Kitchen progress, avatar choices, themes, alternate-icon choices, and other preferences are stored on the user’s device.

MacroDay excludes its local application and shared widget data from device and iCloud backups by default. A user may create a portable backup or export from inside the app. MacroDay does not encrypt those user-created files, so they should be stored and shared carefully. SimplyOwned does not receive a file unless the user chooses to send it, such as when requesting support. Local records can be deleted from Data & Backup in Settings; removing the app also removes its local data, subject to Apple’s device-management behavior.

Apple Health integration is optional and read-only. If a user connects it, MacroDay requests access to workout and body-mass information to show exercise credit and weight trends. Denying access does not prevent manual nutrition tracking. Health data is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling, data mining, or cross-app tracking.

Camera access is optional and used for barcode or Nutrition Facts scanning. Barcode recognition and Nutrition Facts text recognition occur on the device; MacroDay does not retain or transmit camera images. For an online food-name or barcode lookup, MacroDay may send the search text or barcode number to Open Food Facts and receive publicly available product and nutrition information. Open Food Facts is a third-party, collaboratively maintained database with its own privacy practices and data-quality limitations. Users may avoid online lookup by using MacroDay’s bundled food catalog or entering a food manually.

MacroDay can import supported nutrition exports and Next Rep backup files selected by the user. Import processing occurs on the device. Apple’s file picker, share sheet, and any storage provider selected by the user may process a file under their own terms. MacroDay does not include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs, use advertising identifiers, or track users across apps and websites.

MacroDay provides general wellness estimates and tracking tools. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Food-database values can vary; users should verify package labels or consult a qualified professional when accuracy is important.

Optional live-data services

A SimplyOwned app may offer an optional subscription for continuously refreshed or licensed information. Before such a feature launches, the app and App Store listing will identify the data involved, why it is needed, the service providers involved, and the choices available to users. We will limit collection to what is reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and support the selected service.

Retention and deletion

Locally stored app information remains on the device until the user deletes it, removes the app, or uses an available erase function, subject to device backups. Support correspondence and necessary business records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, legal, tax, or recordkeeping purposes.

Service providers and legal requirements

We may use service providers to host the website, deliver email, distribute apps, process App Store transactions, or supply a feature a user requests. They process information under their own terms and privacy practices where they interact directly with the user. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud or abuse.

Policy changes

We may revise this policy as our products evolve. The effective date above will change when we publish a material update. If a change materially affects an app’s data practices, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
